Two-way texting

Two-way texting lets a practice and its clients send SMS messages back and forth, with the conversation saved on the client record instead of a personal phone.

Two-way texting means clients can reply to your messages and reach the practice by text, and those conversations live in the software rather than on a staff member's phone. It is how modern practices handle reminders, questions, and quick updates without endless phone tag.

The key word is two-way. Plenty of systems can send a reminder. Fewer keep the reply attached to the right client and visible to the whole team.

OpenVPM has a two-way SMS workflow linked to client communication history. Hosted texting is limited to approved one-location pilots after carrier registration, consent review, clinic approval, and administrator activation.
