Appointment reminders and recalls
Appointment reminders are automated messages that confirm upcoming visits, and recalls are messages that bring patients back in for due care like vaccines.
Reminders and recalls are two of the highest-value automations a practice can run. A reminder confirms an upcoming appointment to cut no-shows. A recall reaches out when a patient is due for something, like a vaccine or a wellness exam, to fill the schedule and keep pets healthy.
Done by hand, this work falls to whoever has a spare minute, which usually means it does not happen consistently. Automated reminders and recalls run on their own.
OpenVPM can deliver reviewed appointment reminders and vaccination recalls through configured email or activated SMS. General-purpose bulk announcement campaigns are not currently supported.
