Complete patient records for every animal you see.
Every patient gets a full profile. Weight history on a chart, allergy alerts that show up where you need them, photos, microchip numbers, and multi-pet households linked to one client. It is all on the record, and the record is yours.
Workspace access is immediate. Live clinic use starts as a guided pilot alongside the current PIMS. See current fit and rollout limits.

Common questions
Does OpenVPM track weight trends and allergies?
Yes. Weight history plots on a chart, and allergy alerts stay visible throughout the record. Breed-specific overlays are not available.
Can it handle multi-pet households?
Yes. Multiple patients link to a single client, so reminders, billing, and communication stay organized per household.
Does it support exotics and non-traditional species?
The patient model can record many species, but exotics, avian, zoological, herd, and group-medicine workflows have not been validated for production use.
Who owns the patient data?
You do. OpenVPM is open source with a public schema and documented export and backup paths. A destination system may still require mapping or assisted migration.
